It's me, Kirstin.

I draw inspiration from horror novels, true crime,and space exploration. Taking a critical view on these diverse subjects builds a pathway for me to connect and illustrate them. Many of my pieces portray an homage to Stephen King, true crime podcasts, and the theory of aliens. These engaging subjects reproduce familiar visuals which are arranged into new conceptually layered installations. Although there may not always be material similarities between the different projects,they are linked by recurring interests. During research and production, new areas of interest arise and lead to the next body of work. These projects have served as a journey leading up to a children’s book that I will write and illustrate myself.
